“The joy of dressing is an art” – John Galliano

REVOIR Blog - Fashion Resolutions

A new year is almost upon us and the fresh start brings about a time of reflection for many of us. Whether you want to work harder, do more good in the world, or dress better in the new year, resolutions abound and it’s a great time to take stock – especially of your wardrobe!

According to Pantone, there are a few colours that we’ll be wearing in 2017 and luckily for us, we love them.

Hazelnut

A fancy name for tan, really, and a great staple for any wardrobe. With warm undertones, this neutral is a totally transitional colour that will work for you regardless of seasons, and can be worn all year.

Green

Green is cool and we’ve already started to see this colour trend move into other stylish areas such as home-wares, and architecture is equally introducing more greenery into their buildings. Give your wardrobe a breath of fresh air with a few key pieces in this delicious shade.

Dark orange

The fashion reference to this shade is flame, and you will most certainly light up a room in this colour. It can be a tough one to wear and it’s not for the shy fashion lover as it’s definitely a head turner, so if you’re not game to go all out, try working this colour in through accessories.

Blues

There are a few shades of blue that are tipped to be big next year – shades with names like Niagara and Island Paradise, but if you want to speak in more generic terms, blue is where you end up. As Pantone points out, blues are anchoring colours and working them into your wardrobe is made easier by the great variety you have to choose from.
